The Heart&Soul Community Choir, Tewkesbury (formerly known as The Full Bloom Company), started in 2003 as four harmony singing workshops for the over 50’s, run by Hilary for the Roses Theatre. The group enjoyed themselves so much that The Roses agreed to continue to fund them as a choir. ‘Heart&Soul’ became an independent choir in October 2006 and now numbers around 40 very enthusiastic and committed members of all ages who perform regularly at local events including appearances at Tewkesbury Abbey and Gloucester Cathedral.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Heart&Soul Community Choir welcomes singers of all abilities, ages and backgrounds regardless of their musical experience or ability. The emphasis is on the sheer joy and diversity of singing, rather than following any particular musical style. The only requisite is an open heart and a desire to sing.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The choir members learn all their songs by ear without the use of music, so they find they rely on each other to learn the parts together. This creates a real sense of community within the choir as a whole and within the individual parts in particular, as a result individuals quickly build real friendships.

The choir has built up a healthy repertoire of songs from across the world in a wide variety of styles.

 

 

The Heart&Soul Community Choir meet every Wednesday morning (in term time) from 10.00 to 12.00, at the Methodist Church hall.

Fees: £4.00 per session

or £3.00 multiplied by the number of weeks in a term or half term block
